If you wish to learn more about portraiture or just capture more effective informal shots of people, this workshop will introduce you to all the relevant approaches.
As well as learning how to interact with people to get the required expressions and emotions, we will also learn how to naturally pose your subjects to capture more effective shots.
In addition, we will look at the most relevant camera settings, learn how to use your lens/lenses most effectively, and discover how to take advantage of various light/lighting situations.
Everyone in the group must be prepared to act as a model on this location shoot/class.

Outdoor Portraits

This meetup goes over some basic dos and don'ts for posing and looks at issues to do with shooting in daylight for the best results. Included are: shooting different body types, men, women and shooting with strong sunlight and shooting in shade, and designing your background (composition). On this meet,up you are encouraged to bring along family or friends as models.
You will preferably need a normal, 85mm or longer lens, or a zoom. If you have a wide-angle this can also be used as we will be also looking at environmental portraits.
This is the perfect meetup to learn how to take the perfect portraits of family and friends.

This is a more intermediate class so basic skills would be an advantage but not impossible if you have never crocheted before as I work with a group and also provide one on one help, so if you are a beginner, come and give it a go. All materials are included in the price and you will be able to take your hook and wool with you to make more at home from what you learn.
